Mosteiro de Santa Maria de Alcobaça (The Alcobaça Monastery), in the central Portugal town of Alcobaça, was built in 1153 and is the largest Gothic church, in the country. It is also an UNESCO World Heritage Site. An awesome place. Well worth the visit.
